New Roofs, Resurfaced Track Among Summer Facilities Improvements

Mehlville School District is making major improvements to school buildings, athletic venues and parking areas throughout the district. The work is made possible by careful strategic planning by administrators and the addition of funds made possible by the community’s passage of Proposition A.

The most visible of the summer projects is the replacement of the football turf at Oakville High, the resurfacing of the Oakville High track and the replacement of the basketball court floor in Mehlville High’s main gym.  Other projects on the to-do list include:

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning upgrades at Oakville High and Mehlville High

Roof replacement at Oakville High, Trautwein Elementary, Washington Middle and Wohlwend Elementary

Stair tread replacement at Buerkle Middle, Oakville High, Oakville Middle and Wohlwend Elementary

Elevator modernization at Mehlville High

Ceiling replacement in the Washington Middle kitchen and nine Mehlville High classrooms

Parking lot sealing and striping at Bierbaum Elementary, Blades Elementary, Buerkle Middle, Forder Elementary, Hagemann Elementary, MOSAIC Elementary, Oakville Elementary, Oakville Middle, Point Elementary, Rogers Elementary, Wohlwend Elementary and Jefferson Barracks.

Asphalt replacement at Beasley Elementary, Mehlville High, MOSAIC Elementary and Washington Middle
