Read Right, and Run

Read, Right, and Run

The Read, Right, and Run program’s goal is to develop reading-proficient, community-minded and physically fit children by challenging them to READ 26 books (every 100 pages counts as 1 book), RIGHT the community with 26 good deeds, and RUN 26.2 miles over a 26 week period. After 26 weeks of hard work, the program culminates when the students complete their race day goals at a 5K.   The date for this year's 5k has not been set at this time; we will update participants when the date is set - it is typically in the spring.

Each week, students will meet on the track when school is in session on a set day after school (with the exception of early release days) and run/walk at least a mile. When school is virtual, students will run at home. Students who have scheduling conflicts are always welcome to complete their mileage on their own at any time. Students will receive a packet to track their 26 books, 26 good deeds, and 26 miles, and they will also have access to a digital form to track progress.

When a race date is set and registration opens, we will make sure all students are registered!
