Important Note to Parent and Students
Extracurricular activities enrich a student's education, growth and development. We offer a wide variety of these activities so that our students can explore new areas of study, have challenging new experiences, and compete in intramural sporting events.
The extra curricular activities offered at Oakville Middle School are optional, and available to all students who maintain an appropriate academic and behavioral standing at our school. Most of these activities meet immediately after school, however, some do have evening and weekend events. Students are responsible for arranging transportation for these activities. Some activities may require a parental permission form or student application, Mehlville School District Activity fee, special project fee, or current health physical to become a member or to participate. Contact the sponsor of the activity with any questions you may have before becoming a member.
These sports, clubs and organizations will announce their first meeting time and date during morning and/or afternoon school announcements. SINCE MEMBERSHIP IS LIMITED IN SOME ACTIVITIES, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT STUDENTS ATTEND THE FIRST MEETING IF THEY THINK THEY ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING. The first meeting will usually discuss fees or costs, meeting times, days and frequency, and other requirements to be a member as well as club activities. Flyers are posted in the school halls and cafeteria regarding club activities. Please note that some clubs, organizations or sports may be canceled due to limited response.
